Bar Complaint Against Solicitor General Purcell & WA Spent $23M Holding ICE Detainees | Weekly Recap

A group of Washington state Republican senators, including Sen. Phil Fortunato, are calling for the repeal of the 2019 Keep Washington Working Act, which restricts local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities. At the same time, Solicitor General Noah Purcell faces a Washington State Bar Association complaint alleging misconduct for responding on behalf of Attorney General Nick Brown in a separate bar inquiry and directly communicating with private law firm Perkins Coie without its attorney’s consent.
