DESCRIPTION
Concerns over the use of Washington’s Community Reinvestment Program funds have expanded to the Tacoma Urban League, where the organization’s director has been placed on leave, interviews show. The CRP was created to support minority homeownership, aid low-income households, and assist minority-owned business development. Separately, newly obtained records provide additional details about the Washington State Bar Association’s investigation into Attorney General Nick Brown — an investigation that ended hours after The Center Square requested comment. Although WSBA rules require confidentiality for complaints involving private attorneys, the records were obtained through a public-records request to the Attorney General’s Office.
