DESCRIPTION
Janicki Industries, one of Washington state's largest privately owned aerospace and engineering manufacturers, has announced that its next major expansion will take place in Montana rather than Washington.
The company plans to invest $800 million in a new campus in Great Falls, creating more than 1,000 jobs within the first five years and eventually supporting over 2,000 employees.
Company leaders cited rising energy costs, increasing regulations, housing affordability concerns, and the overall cost of doing business as factors influencing the decision.
The announcement comes amid a growing debate over Washington's business climate, tax policies, regulatory environment, and economic competitiveness as companies increasingly look outside the state for expansion opportunities.
