A vandal caused an estimated $100,000 in damage after attempting to force entry into Washington's Legislative Building on the Capitol campus in Olympia. Authorities say the suspect damaged multiple windows and doors during the early morning incident. However, security film installed after last year's Capitol break-in helped prevent access to the building despite repeated attempts to smash through the glass. The incident comes less than a year after another intruder gained entry and caused nearly $1 million in damage to the Capitol building, raising renewed questions about public safety, security upgrades, and taxpayer-funded repair costs. #WashingtonState #Olympia #CapitolBuilding #PublicSafety #Crime #Vandalism #WashingtonPolitics #Security #Taxpayer #BreakingNews #LawEnforcement #Government #WashingtonNews #CapitolCampus #TheCenterSquare
