Federal prosecutors have charged an alleged healthcare fraud suspect with conspiracy involving illegal healthcare kickbacks, bribery, and money laundering as part of a multi-state investigation. According to prosecutors, Niranjan "Ron" Satari allegedly controlled a network of diagnostic laboratories in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Georgia that used telemarketing campaigns, patient recruiters, and telemedicine companies to generate orders for expensive cancer genetic tests. Satari had previously been listed among the FBI's Most Wanted healthcare fraud fugitives, with the bureau offering a $150,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction. Investigators say he has ties to Houston, Atlanta, South Florida, Dubai, Jordan, and the Israel-Palestinian region.
