Illinois taxpayers are funding “God shot” PTSD treatments

The nonprofit Erase PTSD Now has been awarded Illinois state grant money to fund obscure treatments for post traumatic stress disorder, which involve injecting anesthetics deep in sufferers’ necks. All of that money is flowing to a clinic owned by the nonprofit’s founder. The nonprofit’s executive director, Coleen LaCosta, has undergone the procedure despite having no PTSD diagnosis.
