DESCRIPTION
22 Democratic state attorneys general, along with California and Washington, D.C., filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Postal Service over its handling of mail-in ballots under a Trump executive order. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled this week that the executive order, which directs USPS to check voter eligibility lists before sending mail-in ballots, can remain in place for now. New York Governor Kathy Hochul, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker criticized the order, while the White House and election integrity advocate Marley Hornick defended it as necessary for securing federal elections.
