DESCRIPTION
A lawsuit against the University of Washington challenges admissions practices at the Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering. The lawsuit alleges that the school established a numerical racial goal for domestic Black, Hispanic, American Indian, Alaska Native and Hawaiian/Pacific Islander graduates.
The lawsuit also points to UW's diversity blueprint and alleges that these policies caused Stanley to miss out on admission despite his strong background. The case argues that racial barriers in admissions are unlawful.
