DESCRIPTION

President Donald Trump was asked whether the U.S. would be building a base in Venezuela or elsewhere in South America. Trump responded by discussing the U.S. relationship with Venezuela, economic opportunities and Venezuelan oil reserves. The exchange comes as Trump discussed what he described as a “great situation” involving Venezuela and the potential for the U.S. to purchase Venezuelan oil at a low cost. Source: The Center Sqare

The focus of The Center Square's work is state and local level government and economic reporting. A taxpayer sensibility distinguishes our work from other coverage of state and local issues. As a result of this approach, our audiences are better informed about the focus of state and local government and its cost to the citizens whose tax dollars fund governmental decisions.
