DESCRIPTION
Georgia election integrity concerns and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's response. The Center Square's Johnny Edwards joins host Greg Bishop on The States to discuss elections analyst Mark Davis' warning that over 30,000 people could vote in elections where they no longer live because of quirks in the current voter registration law. Edwards asked Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger about these concerns in Georgia's voter rolls but Raffensperger dismissed Davis' numbers saying, "When people just make stuff up, there's not a lot you can do (with) that." The potential 30,000 votes pales in comparison to Georgia's 7.3 million active voters but in counties with close elections a few votes could make a difference. Davis proposes a system that would flag change-of-address records for poll workers and voters would be able to update their registration or cast a provisional ballot if they can’t reach the right county in time.
