DOJ: Non-citizen IL officials kept from ICE accused of murder after jail release

In a statement of material facts for their motion for summary judgement against the state’s migrant sanctuary laws, the U.S. Department of Justice said as recent as January, an alien accused of sexual assault of a minor held at a local jail was kept from federal officials. The alien was then released and later charged for a murder committed 17 days later.
At an unrelated event in Jacksonville Tuesday, Gov. J.B. Pritzker reacted.
